Chef Ezio knows that COVID-19 pandemic is a fraught and worrying time for all travelers and to the staff within the travel and tourism and catering industries.

To ensure peace of mind and your safety please do rest assured that Ciao Abruzzo team guarantees that we will always monitor, review and follow the latest advice and recommendations from the American and Italian Centres of Disease Control, the World Health Organization (WHO) and from each of the local comune where we operate.

Bed & Breakfst & Restaurants & Excursion Sites

Check-in

All guests will be invited to a staggered check-in with our partner B&Bs For their and your own safety masks are mandatory.

On arrival and exit into the reception area and any dining or public rooms, guests will be invited to use the available hand sanitiser.

All the paperwork, pens, keys used at the reception were disinfected before being given to the guest. Digital applications will be used wherever possible.

Cleaning of Rooms & Public Spaces

Each of our partners’ undertakes to follow local and our own guidelines in cleanliness and disinfection for your and their protection. Members of staff will wear personal protection that includes masks and gloves when cleaning your room and any public spaces that guests may use. Each member of staff will wear their overalls for one shift only before it is washed.

All surfaces will be cleansed with an antiviral disinfect with a 30-day permanence that is alcohol and chlorine-based. Disposable cleaning items wherever possible to decrease the risk of cross-contamination.

Dining

Due to Covid19 breakfast will no longer be on a buffet basis, instead, you will be invited to pick from a breakfast card menu that has been disinfected that offers the same selection of delicious items that you would previously be able to serve yourself, that you will be served at your table.

The placement of each table in any partner B&B or restaurant establishment will follow local and WHO social distancing guidelines currently 1.5 meters apart. All service equipment is disinfected or disposable products are used. Tables are disinfected before each next guest.

Guest Transportation

Guests will follow social distancing rules when seated on our minibus which has been disinfected daily. In compliance with Italian law, masks will be worn by guests on the bus at all times and temperatures will be checked before boarding. The driver will wear gloves and a mask as all times.

Extra Services

We will update you at our time of arrival whether extra services, such as beauty and massage offered by our B&Bs from 3rd parties will be available.

Covid Cases

In the case of a suspected Covid case, suspected guests and those within the party will be required to quarantine for 14 days within their rooms. Food and drinks will delivered at appropriate times to ensure all guests are as comfortable as possible. Chef Ezio will arrange testing and use of local hospital where appropriate.

Our Covid Cancellation Policy

Chef Ezio aims to ensure flexibility within our 2021 booking and cancellation policy.

A €200 deposit will be required at the time of booking rather than the usual 50% upfront. The outstanding balance will be payable 1 month before arrival.

Cancellation and booking modifications are free up to one week prior to your arrival date.

In the case of a complete lockdown within Italy and tours being unable to proceed each guest will be offered the choice of being reimbursed in full their balance or credited against the next available tour
